Nevermind---read the website and rules. WOW--sure are alot of loopholes. Also is does not state anywhere that this is an amateur tournament---so you can't state that on here and it be very accurate. Also it doesn't state that the fish have to be weighed in by 1:00 or do you just have to be checked in by 1:00 and then weigh your fish. Also, a "random polygraph" for this kind of money---LOL!!!!! It better be a mandatory polygraph for the winner.
Another thing---it says you cannot "fish" til 6. Does that mean you can boat anywhere you want, but as long as you don't fish til 6 am, then you will be ok?
Like I said----these rules need to be gone through alot more thoroughly then what you have.
I mean, I would consider competing---but not in its' present form.
Would be nice to know who is putting this tournam, ent on, where the tournament ramp is, and who is gauranteeing the pay out.
There are several ramps and "weigh-in" sites up and down the river. The Kentucky Restuarant Association is putting this on.
Hey Matt, I agree in that I have never heard of it either. And when I got the rules and regs paper, after reading it I found out that it has many loopholes too, and might be pretty confusing for someone who does not fish the Ohio very much. I sure was confused just with all the regs, weighins, times, only 1 fish weighin but two max in livewell,
It does say that checks go to Kentucky Restaraunt Association, but who the heck is that,
I haven't spent a whole heck of a lot of time reading the rules to a "T" but I haven't seen where it says who is an amateur and who is not,
Someone please chime in and help us out. I would love to get involved but the info is to short and so is time.

Not sure why. We've sent 7,000 brochures and registration forms to bait shops and marinas. Within the next of couple of years this tourney will be considered one of the largest major sporting events in Kentuckiana.
If you consider yourself a professional fisherman; or if the majority of you annual income is received from prize money won
in tournaments, income received from sponsors, and other fees and income derived from fishing, you are ineligible to fish this event.
This is modeled after an long time in event on the Arkansas River--the Ford Big Bass Bonanza. It is totally legit.
Polygraphs will be administered to EVERY hourly winner at all five weigh-in sites. You must be checked in by 1:00, but this is a big bass not total pounds tourney. Not everyone will be coming in to weigh a fish the last hour.
If you have questions, call Linda at the Kentucky Restaurant Association. 502-896-0464 or 502-550-6728
Hey to all,
I talked to Linda Hill and she explained in great detail what's going on with this tournament. (BTW--she called me---ought to say something about her integrity and how she feels about this tournament--she was not tyring to hide anything) Sounds pretty exciting and totally legit. I will admit that I was skeptical, especially having never fished in such an event and after reading these rules. But, the polygraph test will keep everybody honest and she also said, that if a contestant gets caught cheating, they will never fish another event. She said to feel free to call her anytime if anybody has questions.
See you all there!
