yea we talked to danny after his polygraph..he was a nervous wreck as you could imagine down at the ramp after he weighed that monster in..we started out great..had big fish for the 9oclock hour 2.51(I believe)and then promptly blew a piston on the boat heading back to the spot we were fishing..thats just how my luck goes..had fun while it lasted though

YES.. the $50,000 was paid out as well as all Hourly Winners.
KRA took a LARGE hit on this but they backed it up and paid out a lot of cash. This was a big loss for them, but they paid out what was guaranteed for the big POT and then some.

PS.. I heard rumors of guys saying it would NEVER be paid... and one person was betting a Thousand Dollars it would not be paid.. you need to pay the guy you bet,, cause I saw the check and I also have pictures I will post.

I'm going with Jim on this one. Not only did Danny win $50,000 but he also took home two hourly winners $300 and the Super Pool pot--which was split up into two pools and each paying $1000.
One big fish 5.18 $50,000 on more keeper got him the $51,300

KRA said tonight that they WILL have this again next year and I sincerely hope they do. It was alot of fun!

ACTUALLY the $50,000 was guaranteed. He won $1000 in the pool and $49,000 for big fish.. and $200 for the 2 wins. $50,200 for him and his partner Kevin.
Danny Goble won the tournament with a 5.18 pound Smallmouth caught on a buzzbait below the dam at McAlpine. The buzzbait was a Head Knocker I believe. ( IN Case anyone does not know this by now.)
He was also presented with a Replica Mount I had recieved from an advertising partner on Fishing Guides Home Page .. www.AmericanFishTaxidermy.com
It was so close to the fish he caught that I had to give it to Danny. He had to return the largest Smallmouth he ever caught to the river so I felt he should have a Replica Mount to remember the fish with. Cudo's to Danny and to American Fish Taxidermy who had sent me the Trophy Smallmouth to prove the quality that they provide. That is why you will find them on www.1fghp.com, because I personally use them and recommend them.

Dave the rules said based on 1500 boats however its great they paid it out I think this will be a hit next year with a little more advertising !
