Im pretty sure they are asian carp. I my hometown is right on the Illinois and Spoon River in Illinois and they are full of them. My best friend worked for the DNR in Havana, Il and he would take us out with the shock boat and cameras. If you go by a brush pile and start the shocking they jump by the hundreds. I have been hit numerous times just going down the river. Smaller flying asian carp are actually thinner and can jump at least 4 feet out of the water. As soon as they land in the boat they immediately start to bleed and leave a residue on your boat. I have seen and have a picture of up to a 20lb fish that jumped into our boat. Imaging flying down the river at 65 mph and getting hit in the face with a 20 lb fish.
