I've never fished Laurel River Lake and I am thinking about going there this weekend. I'm not reading very good reports on the bass fishing, so I'm curious if Laurel River Lake is worth a 3 1/2 hour drive? Any information is greatly appreciated!

fishing on laurel is slow. Fished their tuesday night from 7:00 till Midnight. Caught two keeper fish and was the only two bites we had. The water continues to warm up, it was at 89 degrees and fish seemed to be deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. The fishing is probably better around the 2:00 A.M. till dawn range, gives time for the water to settle down from all the summer traffic and the fish to pull up a little.
