don't know. Not sure whatyou mean.
Go to "conferences" and the "user menue" then find avatar.
I thinkyou will have to have your image somewhere online, not sure
I just tried it a few different ways....looks to me like normal HTML codes with <> are working. "EZ Codes" (like on some other forums)with brackets don't appear to work.
However, I can't get back into the post to delete/edit without an "internal error" so something's not agreeing with me.
By Golly I think I've got it.
Peter, we need to ask folks to limit the size of the pic's. The size Splitshit hasare about perfect.

Peter,
You only have 4 minutes to edit a post. Shoot I'll stay mad at Danny longer than that sometimes. Anyway to up the time?

There is no way to limit size of a photo if it is linked to and I would like to put that on hold for now. This can lead to some problems with people that don't quite know how to edit photos putting some huge photos on here. This is real problem for people with dial up leading to slow download times and it can throw off the formatting of the board.
There is a feature where you can upload pohotos up to 50k to the board. It is on at the moment, not sure it is working and I am not sure how long it will stay on.
I think photos may be aproriate on a specified photo board which I may put up in the future but I think getting quick information is more important to most people. For now I don't have time to deal with it. So if you guys would refrain it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your cooperation.
Peter,
Sorry! Didn't mean to cause a problem...was just playing with the controls. (I left you a voicemail about 5:30 returning your call.)
I agree that photos hosted elsewhere and inserted with html could cause space/formatting issues for folks that don't know how to do it quite right. Most of the free image hosting servers will resize photos, but not everyone does it.
Thumbnails could be the answer. They solve the formatting problem, don't slow down the load times, and if people want to see the picture they can click to enlarge. If the attachment function has an option that forces all attachments into thumbnails embedded in the post, that could be the ticket. I've seen it that way other places. I think most folks would use that long before trying to insert something themselves with html...but it would have to be monitored by the moderators as long as HTML is an option that is turned on.
I'll refrain from any more tinkering until the ground rules are set!
Thanks!
Peter,
We'll have a few bumps, but it'll be cool...
