    Silicone Skirts

Anyone know of a website that i can visit to purchase assorted skirts for my jigs. I have found many websites but i was hoping to narrow it down from suggestions. The retail football head jigs i have looked at don't come in the color combo i would like so figured i'll put them together myself. Any info or suggestions would be appreciated.

I do many custom jig skirt orders if you are interested in going through a local guy, feel free to call me at 502-718-3075 or email me at [email protected], I can do about any color combo you can dream of. If you go through the tackle suppliers your best best is to go through stamina. In my opinion they have the best quality skirts available, they are the same ones I use I just order direct from the manufacturer. Their website is staminainc.com. Their skirt pads have 22 strands in each pad compared to 20 that you get from the other suppliers, those extra 4 strands give your jig a little bit bulkier look, hope this helps

    DJD,

I apologize, the first time I read your post, it did not click with my memory like it should have.

I have some lure building sites bookmarked. They all came from suggestions on this board. Here they are:

    http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/

And here's the actual page that has the skirt links:

    http://www.jannsnetcraft.com/skirts-material/

Sorry, that's really the only one I have for the skirt material.

    Anyway, I hope it helps.

    Danny

    Netcraft is a good one...

You could also hook up with Matt Frondorf in Cincinnati. He's a good friend of mine, one heck of an angler, and one of the nicest gentlemen you'll ever talk to. I've been using his jigs and buzzbaits for a long time and the skirts are what makes them sweet. He's a meistro at custom colors and really has fun with it. I know he'd do some skirts for you, however you wanted them.

Email me if you'd like his contact info and I'll hook you guys up.

I would recommend Jann's Netcraft. I have made my own jigs for years (Triple Decker Jigs) and have sold many to friends and I use Jann's Netcraft material almost exclusively. I like making my own jigs (football heads, Arkie heads, bullet heads, etc.) also because I can create colors that can't be found on the shelves. I make them out of my house and if you are ever interested in having someone make them for you just let me know (270-668-4927). Good luck.

    Don,

I'll have some extra skirts from Matt with me next week, but I think that they're buzzbait/spinnerbait skirts. I've got several jigs with his jig skirts, so you're welcome to flip one.

    Later!

I agree on Stamina being a great source. However, I do not like their SILACHROME Skirt material. They were made in Vietnam and smell like strong paint fumes and s%#@.

No problem. Let me know how it turns out. I bet you will be amazed at what you can come up with and how well it works when on the water.
