Thanks DH, that was what I needed on this Friday morning, very cool. Don't you wish they hit like that every time out?

Dagumit... I hate dial up... LOL
It takes forever to download this using dialup, but I get two seconds at a time, and that takes about 3 minutes, and it is a 6 minute, 48 second video... omg....LOL

Great video! Are those fish in a tank?! It looked like the same ones over and over! I think those lures might have had the barb cut off as well!
Thanks for sharing! Can't wait to get on the water this weekend! :)
Indeed, some very cool footage. There was some sort of strange sound coming out of my speakers during the video, though. It almost sounded like somebody was trying to play music. Turn your speakers down and enjoy!
I remember seeing this a few years ago. If I remember correctly they were trying to show how many times you never feel a fish hit. Still a nice video and It will be good to show my son how the bass react and also the action and presentation of lures. Thanks
Indeed this is mostly very old footage. Still good though, made me want to jump up and head for the lake. I actually enjoyed the music (by Incubus)too...started to grab my son's skateboard and hit the driveway, but an old dude like me 'hitting' the driveway results in doctor bills.
Much of it is excerpted from an old film called Big Mouth, shot in Florida on the what I suspect is the Crystal River. I know the one little scene where that big old sow has the baby duck in her mouth was from Big Mouth. The whole baby duck episode isn't shown in the film from the link, but the old original film shows the LM attacking the baby duck and chewing on it a while before turning it loose. It also shows the baby duck hauling a$$ once he gets on dry land, prolly never did go swimming again. Amazing footage and great photography. BTW, part 2 of this fellow's video shows many of the fish in part 1 spitting the bait. I agree, the hooks might have been removed or the barb filed off.
OK the baby duck really was interesting.. but if they did that on purpose...
Still I am sure they do eat baby ducks occasionally.
In Canada if we saw ducks with babies we figured there were no Muskies around so we fished for smallies.. OR moved on to find Muskies.

Jimbo they do indeed eat baby ducklins I've personally witnessed it, big catfish will do it to. Saw a big sow at Guist Creek when I was a kid take a full grown black bird off the edge of a rock. Black bird did resurface a few minutes later but wasn't doing well at all.
If they did what on purpose Jim? Are you suggesting someone put the duck in that bass's mouth? As I said, I saw the original film where the duck got chewed with no help from any human. Sometimes I think you're a flaming liberal Dicken.
Hey Jim,
While fishing an old strip pit/swimming hole, I saw a full grown duck swimming across the surface. It was a pretty big lake, and with no boat, I could not fish the whole thing, only there where we were. But anyway, something came up from under the duck, inhaled the whole thing, and boom.... the duck was gone.
I watched for over 45 minutes for that duck to resurface... nothing. We were catching quite a few bass where we were, so I don't know if this was a BASS or maybe just a great big catfish. Sure made me wish I could catch what ever it was.
Danny
