    RE: I'm old.... but....

That's one of my favorite stories told by a Mr. Homer Circle. The guy knows some great stories!

    RE: Favorite fish story...

My brother in law (eatsleepfish) and I was fishing Cumberland in July 2003 when he set the hook on a fish that broke him off after a short struggle. He knew it was not a big one and figured it has ran him into a sharp rock or whatever. He re-tied and we continued to fish this one bank and about 50 yards away, 10-15 minutes or so later, he catches a massive 12 incher. WHen he takes out his jig, he notices another jig (same make model color serial number and trailer) in its gullet. We absolutely agreed it was the same jig so it had to be the same fish. We ended up catching about 40 Smallies that night, one of those nights of a lifetime, no real monsters but good to get your string pulled that many times. Fishing was so good that we took out around 9am and drove back to Frankfort, arrived around noon. His wife and dad wanted to go get some of this action so, I took my boat with his Dad and he took his with his wife and we drove back to Cumberland leaving at 6pm (short nap). 2 Boats - 3 fishermen and 1 fisherwoman fishing the exact same spots with the exact same lures produced NOTHING. Danny and I fished until 3am until he landed a 10 incher and I managed a 6" Rockbass while Rob and Anita were beached up asleep by 4am with nothing in the boat. Fog rolled in so thick you could not see so Danny and I headed for the house. Between working until 5pm on Friday, leaving at 6pm for Cumberland, Driving 3 hours, Fishing for 12 hours, DRiving back 3 hours, sleeping for less than 4, Driving back to Cumberland for 3 hours, Fishing for 8 more hours, I was exhausted. First time I ever let someone else drive my truck while pulling my boat. I attempted but after the 3rd time of me falling asleep on US127 and Danny yelling at me, I gave him the wheel and went off to Sleepyland.

One day it is Catchin, One day it is Fishin. (Mostly Fishin for Me)

I whacked them at Ky Lake 3 weeks ago, went last Friday night and did not get a bite. Provided I get my boat out of the shop today I plan on going Saturday night back to Ky to either Whackem or get Whacked myself.
