i want to pass this on to you folks, good luck mike and becky and especially ryan!
Some of you are familiar with this and some of you aren't. Mike previously fished the BASS Circuit and is now fishing the FLW Series. Just wanted to pass this along and ask that more than anything, please put them in your prayers. Be sure to check out the website to see how Ryan is doing. Also be sure to read the comments.....some are from pros, family, friends and even strangers.
Thanks,
Mona
Friends of Ryan Auten Fund
The PAA alongside the friends and family of Mike, Becky, and Ryan Auten are pleased to announce the establishment of the "Friends of Ryan Auten" fund. As many of you know, Ryan Michael Auten was born to Mike and Becky Auten on June 8th 16 weeks premature. Weighing only 1 pound and 4 ounces at birth, Ryan is currently residing in a new womb at Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Mike and Becky are spending as much time in the hospital with Ryan as they can. Due to the worries of mounting medical bills and travel expenses, the PAA, as well as the friends and family of the Autens are asking for your help.
"No other angler affiliated with the PAA has dedicated more time and effort than Mike Auten," states Gene Ellison, Executive Director of the PAA. "My wife and I are forwarding a check today and respectfully request that concerned anglers, family, and friends of the Auten family send a donation to help out these amazing people."
"Stacey and I have been friends with the Auten family for over 10 years," reports Peggy King, wife of angler Stacey King. "Our hearts and prayers go out to them. We feel certain that everything will be ok." King encourages that "everyone who feels the need to contribute show them your support."
"We just want to help out good people," says Todd Hammill, close family friend and C.O.O. of Gemini Sports Marketing. "They are good friends and I know that they would do the same for me if I were in the same situation."
"I have known Mike and Becky for over 10 years, and even though I work for them, they have become a major part of my family over the years. Mike and Becky are always helping everyone else out when they need it, now it is our turn to give back to them and help them in there hour of need. I hope everyone that reads this will send in a donation to help them deal with Ryan's medical bills." Scott Rob
Mike and Becky have constructed a website that they use to update Ryan's condition daily. There are also photos and even videos tracking Ryan's progress. We encourage you to check this site to see how Ryan is doing.
You can find this website at http://web.mac.com/mikeauten
We hope that everyone keeps the Auten family in their thoughts and prayers.
Donations should be sent to the following address:
Friends of Ryan Auten
C/O Scott Rob
378 Union Hill Road
Benton, KY 42025
We ask that you make checks payable to Friends of Ryan Auten. Thank you for all your consideration and support throughout this hard time for the Auten family.
