    Trailer Being fixed today!!!!

Well folks, it is finally scheduled. I am supposed to get my trailer fixed today. Obviously, I won't be on much. We need to get the boat off the trailer, so my father-in-law has graciously agreed to take my trailer to the shop, after dropping my boat in the river here... the Green river. I've never fished the river, and I am not sure today would be my first choice to try it, hot.. hot... and more HOT!!!!

Still very excited just to be on the water again.

    Superfantastic News & Question

Wow... got the trailer back, and man, it looks better than when it was new. My man did a fantastic job.

I had the trailer fixed at Wester's Auto Body Shop in Powderly, KY. Eddie, the owner, actually did the work himself as he promised he would get it done today, and he had a couple of folks not show up for work today due to illness. He did a wonderful job.

An even better news bit, DEW, and I got to do a little bit of fishing on the Green River. This is the first time since I've been here ... about 17 yrs. that I have gotten out on the river here. While we only fished about 3 spots, as we did a lot of sight seeing, kind of learning the river, and the fact it was very, very hot, but we did catch one nice little KY bass. I believe had we really worked that area well, we could have gotten a nice stringer from the area. It is a flat, about 6 feet deep, that drops into 25 feet, and the bottom is covered with wood. There was a wide range of water temps on the river... from 83 up to near 90 degrees. I can't wait to fish it more often. I did miss one pretty good bite, and we did get some additional hits on grubs and jig heads.

Now the question, what is the legal size for KY bass? I am certain at KY and Barkley lakes it is a 12 inch minnimum, but was wondering about the river. Any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    RE: Superfantastic News & Question

    Danny,
As far as I know there is no size limit on KY's anywhere, including KY and Barkley Lake. Some clubs and tournaments put the 12" rule into effect just so more people can weigh in fish. Sure is a nice rule sometimes---LOL!!!!

Green River.. River not lake... tournament??

    Thanks Mark!!!

I appreciate the help Mark. Darrell and I were discussing this, and he said he didn't think there was a size limit. It sure was a pretty little thing. LOL

Anyway, I'd love to get a little tournament started on the river here. Maybe a Thursday nighter or something... Maybe 5:30 Pm or 6PM until right after dark. Or maybe even a Saturday or Sunday morning thing for just a few hours??

I know the tournament schedules are full, but would love to have some 4 hour or maybe 5 hour tournaments on that part of the river. I know I really haven't even come close to scratching the surface of the water...Lol pun intended...LOL. I just think it would be a lot of fun.
