I'd love to see a tourney on KY or Barkley. Spring or Fall
If there are enough people interested, maybe split into 3 teams so the drive is not as far. Of course there would have to be fish offs from the 3 winners to establish the fishin.com pro.
Someone bring the video cameras!

I don't really have any experience fishing tournaments, but I'd fish one with you fellers. I'll throw ole Redneckshadrap's name in the hat too...he and I can partner up in my boat as "Team Creek Bank." LOL
Green River Lake is pretty centrally located...I kinda like that idea.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-13-06 AT 10:13PM (EST)[p]Well it seems so far everyone likes the idea,I too have never fished a tourney before but having one with some people that I talk with will make it alot easier. I will be going at it alone (more than likely) so I'll have a open seat.
. Green, C'land, Cedar. Herrington was brought up but I heard alot of horror stories about lower unit and props being ate-up so I not really into that. Lets decide on a lake and time, I had thought about April 14th (Good Friday) because it's a day most blue collar boys will have off but any other time will be fine. Let's get this together...
I am all for one on Herrington in March. You can catch five fish there that will be close to 20lbs that time of year.
Sounds like this idea is favorable.
Now all that needs to be decided is where/when ?
If "00" doesn't want me as a partner, I'll be glad to be yours Danny. You know I have to give "00" first chance tho. :)
Would this event be better to be held on a Saturday or Sunday for most ?
Do we need to vote on a lake like last time ? Although Barren is more centrally located for the majority of those who'd come, I'd like to see it held somewhere else this time.
How about rough river, i know there r alot of people that visit this site. Me personally would love to fish there, but i dont know if will have a partner, so just my thoughts. Oh and by the way if u do it in the spring there will be alot of big fish caught anyone who fishes rough knows what i mean.
i thank sat. is best for most and i thank it should be at rough river or at barren.
Hey tony,
I started to mention "00" but drew back. I think 00 posted that the boat had been sold... am I wrong on that?
I have only fished GRL twice, but liked it.
Living in Western KY, as I said, I prefer KY or Barkley, but I would not want to drive to Cumberland or Dale, so why should the guys in the East be expected to make the drive west.
Mid state is almost a necessity. I'd like to see us move it off of Barren as well. Remember the last two, we really did not have that many boaters, so why not consider one of the smaller mid state lakes like GRL, or Nolin?? We just have to make sure we don't pick a lake that has motor restrictions, and that there is a good lake map available. We don't want anyone running blindly on a lake and losing the lower unit.

But making close to everyone is the key, Green River Lake all though it is a small lake it has plenty of fish to be caught, But Laruel and C-land would be two good lakes too. It could be cave run, barkley, the hollow, or even the ohio river, I'll fish it.
i thank that rough river or barren are both good lakes and it would be in the middle so that way people in the east and people in the west or driving the same distence
