jeremys, and jimwldct...

The way we did the vote in the past is to post a message asking those interested to just make a vote in the thread with the name of a lake, and maybe one back up lake. Then someone would take a talley, and name the winner.

jim, in the past, we have always had a lot of interest, but really not too many show up. The first one, I hurt my back the day before the get together pre-fishing the lake, and had to go home. The second, last year, I had a previous obligation. Both years I don't think there was a whole lot of folks to show up. Maybe however, as you suggested, two or three locations may yield more people, but organizing and planning could be a nightmare. The logistics, food... and jimd deserves a big thanks for providing the meat.... well it was a lot to get together.

We also have a traveling trophy, a gold toliet seat. Franswa won the first year, but I don't remember who took it from him last year, and that is who has possession right now. The trophy passes from winner to winner.

3 divisions

If we go with 3 divisions; My vote would be south Ky Lake, North Barkley as a back-up. If only one division, I don't know much about any other lake so input would be irrelevant.

Hey Danny:
Last time I looked I was still sitting on the Golden throne.
Nobody de-throned me last year. Don't know if they still are
cause my hard drve crashed, takin my pictures with it, but last year's photo's were posted on fishin.com's front page.

Sure did miss your's and Tony's donation last year.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-14-06 AT 05:54PM (EST)[p]I'll throw my vote in for GRL, there's plenty of fish, it not hit hard by pleasure boater, no motor restrictions and it's pretty centraly located. I like Good Friday as the date, but any saturday or sunday will work.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-14-06 AT 01:45PM (EST)[p]I'll fish it, No matter where it is. But making close to everyone is the key, Green River Lake all though it is a small lake it has plenty of fish to be caught, But Laruel and C-land would be two good lakes too. It could be cave run, barkley, the hollow, or even the ohio river, I'll fish it.

I am all for one on Herrington in March. You can catch five fish there that will be close to 20lbs that time of year.

If there are enough people interested, maybe split into 3 teams so the drive is not as far. Of course there would have to be fish offs from the 3 winners to establish the fishin.com pro.
Someone bring the video cameras!

I don't really have any experience fishing tournaments, but I'd fish one with you fellers. I'll throw ole Redneckshadrap's name in the hat too...he and I can partner up in my boat as "Team Creek Bank." LOL

Green River Lake is pretty centrally located...I kinda like that idea.

LAST EDITED ON Jan-13-06 AT 10:13PM (EST)[p]Well it seems so far everyone likes the idea,I too have never fished a tourney before but having one with some people that I talk with will make it alot easier. I will be going at it alone (more than likely) so I'll have a open seat.
. Green, C'land, Cedar. Herrington was brought up but I heard alot of horror stories about lower unit and props being ate-up so I not really into that. Lets decide on a lake and time, I had thought about April 14th (Good Friday) because it's a day most blue collar boys will have off but any other time will be fine. Let's get this together...
