The "red hook" theory really does work. Example, me and a buddy went to Barren last year in April for those big hybrids. On the way down, I changed out all my crankbaits I was going to use, front and back, to #6's{gamakatsu). He did not. I caught 18 to his 4. It could have been a fluke, but, the next time we went down there, he had red hooks on, and we were close to even on fish. So, go figure. It gives me confidence, so, naturally, I will catch more.
