I have done pretty well in cold water there.Try the horseshoe bend area, lots of timber here close to the river channel fish the bigger timber that has the most concetration of limbs and forks.I have the best luck using minnows vertically from 12-20 feet down.If you arent familiar with the lake its best to ride and find a few of these trees before you wet a line.the channel bank just above chowning lane on the right is good too,all the better if there are some cedars around too, if its easy to get your boat and bait in and out i havnt had much luck thicker the better.hopefully this helps you wont get hundreds but youshould be able to get a few of them 12-14 inchers,i had a limit of 15 last winter thad weighed just a little over 22 lbs doing this.
