Anyone interested in starting a bluegill tournament? Very informal and low entry fee (mostly fun). I have seen a cople of posts on this board about bluegill tournaments and have not seen anything develop. Mostly in the south/central KY area. Just curious.

** Mostly in south central KY **
If that means Lake Cumberland anywhere from mid Apr to first of July I would be interested. Anything other than that and I would have to think abuot it. Somewhere around the full moon of May or June would be a prime time for Cumberland but thats just my opinion.

Are you only allowed to use artificial baits like in bass tourney? Are you penealized for dead fish? Do you keep your catch to eat?
What would the rules look like? I know a great bank on KY lake that I've caught monster bream while in a tourney and they were hitting bandit 400's!!!
Best bream I ever saw was a company trip in Orlando a few years ago. We got to pick from several 1/2 day activities for a free day. I got to pick fishing. Shame the guide was not of the Dave Stewart Ilk!! It was windy, we had him and three company guys, and he told us to drag worms through the grass as we were blown about 20 mph across the lake...LOL. I finally asked if I could run the trolling motor. He let me, and I slowed us down. Two of us caught dinks, while one of my friends went with a buzzbait and caught a monster 'gill!!!!! ON A HALF OUNCE BUZZ BAIT!!!
ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? HECK NO.. HUGE.
