I am working with CM at a show in Massachusettes next month...since he did not take our challenge I thought I might just challenge him in front of the crowd there when I am doing one of my seminars....LOL.

    RE: He's a chicken****!

Dave Stewart vs Charlie Moore in a one day 5 fish tournament at Ky and Barkley in April..........Lets see it is Super Bowl season and keeping with the gambling tradition:

I set the line as follows:

Dave Stewart the Favorite by 15 pounds. I figure Dave will boat 22-25 lbs and even Charlie can catch 5 dinks that will weight 7 lbs.

Dave big fish over under - 6lbs 2oz

Charlie big fish over under - 1lb 6oz

    # of boats following Dave over under - 40

#of boats following Charlie over under - 1 including camera boat

    # of times Charlie mentions the Patriots, Red Sox or Bean Town Baby over under - 2,567

    # of trips Charlie makes back to Bean Town Baby with his tail tucked between his leg and a spinnerbait safety pin keeping his big mouth shut after Dave wips his ##### - 1

Amount of money to see all of the above - PRICELESS

I also challenged Charlie to a FNF battle at Dale Hollow Lake. The response I received is that my challenge had been forwarded onto ESPN and they decided on who was Charlie's next competitor. I may not be able to beat him in a greenfish tourney but will take my chances with my 10' All Pro on Dale Hollow any day of the week. I actually worded the challenge to be the number of Smallmouth caught over 3lb, weighed on a digital scale and released using any rod over 9'. Most fish caught over 3lb wins. If my Honey Hole is producing then he will need to catch 6-7 to have a shot. If my Honey Hole is not producing then it will be anybody's game. Either way just to take a shot at shutting him up is worth it to me. Bring back Denny and the School

LMAO, let me know how that goes.

I submitted out challenge, but we didn't have the video tape, that may have been why they ignored us. Either that, or they came here and say "MY" fishing prowess and were scared off... LMAO

I know, it's more likely they came here and saw "YOUR" fishing prowess, but come on... help a poor dispondent dude out!

    RE: He's a chicken****!

Danny I am sure they ignored us because neither of us is a big name celebrety and we would not draw any audience except our immediate families...LOL. It would be neat to challenge him in public like that but on second thought I will be the only Ky guy within 900 miles and driving a slow moving truck and with that thought in mind I might not make it out of Massachusettes if I slammed their hero in public...LOL. Besides, I have to pick up my check before I leave there...LOL.

CM is NOT the hero of the Bay State!

LAST EDITED ON Jan-26-06 AT 07:03PM (EST)[p]Hey Dave, I'm going to have some of my old buddies look you up at the show. Is it still at the Centrum in Worcester or have they moved it to the Convention Center in Westboro? Let me know your schedule up there so I can pass it on to them.

A couple of my buddies have actually been down here to visit and have fished Barkley with me a few times. They will have a blast talking to you and may even tell you some lies about me, but don't believe a word they say! Heck they may even take you out for some real New England Clam Chowder or even take you out for some ice fishing!

Just to set the facts straight, CM is DEFINATELY not the hero of the Bay State. Theres quite a few up there that don't like his antics either.

Now, the real hero slot is reserved by a fellow named Joel St. Germaine, he just made the Classic through the Federation ranks for the 2nd time in 3 years, a very tough feat indeed! Who says them Yankee boys cain't fish! LOL

LAST EDITED ON Jan-27-06 AT 04:37AM (EST)[p]Hey Craig: Now I would really like to meet those friends of yours. And there is nothing I like better than New England Clam Chowder so I definitely hope to meet them!! I will pass on the ice fishing though...LOL. The show is still at the centrum in Worcester. I will be there the entire show but my seminars are on Thurs, Sat, and Sun. KVD will be the speaker on Saturday.

Actually I expect CM has his followers and non followers where ever he is...one thing for sure though...he took a pretty good marketing idea and made it work...not bad for someone that really does not have a fishing reputation that I have heard of or been able to determine other than on his show. I really am looking forward to meeting him....to see for myself what kind of guy he is in person behind the scenes. From what I have seen about the show we are working he will actually be doing seminars in another part of the building than where I will be so I hope my schedule works out that I can get to meet him. When I was at the Philadelphia show last weekend Ted Nugent was also there doing hunting seminars in the other end of the building from where I was...I really wanted a chance to meet him but every time he was scheduled there I was scheduled to do a seminar on fishing....I hope it works out better at the Mass show and I can meet CM.

    Dave,

I could have a wrong bead on the guy, but I think he will find it funny. Besides, those folks in Mass., at least the last time I was there, really don't want anything to do with a southern accented Kentuckian... LMAO

Besides, we would bring more than our family to the table, look at all the fans on here? Most love you, and many hate me...LOL.. great love/hate relationship.

    Let's catch some fish.

    RE: He's a chicken****!

Well if there is anything I have learned over the past number of years since I got involved with working with the public via my guide service, public speaking and writings is that you will have some folks that really like you, some that don't like you and some that could care less one way or the other.

When I first started getting feedback I would let it bother me when I received some harsh criticizm but I have learned over the years to take it in stride and try to learn from it if it was valid. On the other hand I have been embarrassed sometimes with praise that I felt was probably much more than I deserved and tried to not let it swell my head anymore than my regular hat size...lol. In other words, just try to be yourself and like bass fishing....learn from your mistakes and try to keep an open mind as to what works and what doesn't and remember that sometimes others perceive us to be totally different than we perceive ourselves to be.

    RE: He's a chicken****!

I understand what you mean about the praise. Especially now that "WE ALL KNOW" that you learn more from us, than we do from you... LMAO

Hey, did you get that copy of my captain's license yet??? Ha ha

I wish I were going to be in Lexington to see you this week, it would be fun.

Here's a thought, let me travel with you to Mass, and we can challenge Charlie Moore together in person. You've seen me... there's so much of me, there is no way anyone can kick all my backside! I'll put on one of my casting demonstrations for ol' charlie, and he will be filled full of over confidence for sure.

This is too much fun, but I do have some chores to do today.

Be back later to all you "knuckleheads"

Love that when Mike Wilbom says that on PTI, so don't hate the messenger, hate the guy who thought it up.

    I like it

I like his show, so I'm glad he got another year. He does BTW occassionally get beat, but not very often. His show stays alive because like it or hate it, almost everyone has a strong opinion about it.
