I'm no help with this rig yet! I'm committing myself to fishing this rig this year. So far, I've thrown it for several hours on two fishing trips(Cumberland & Herrington) but haven't yet caught anything on it. I'd just like to see what the hit feels like!

I've had strikes that almost tore the rod from my hands, and I've had strikes that I never felt until I lifted the rod tip and the fish was there. Kinda like any other worm fishing IMO.

    Gerald,

The best thing to do is use it, and use it in many different scenarios.

I have fished it deep, and those bites are usually very subtle. However when I use it up around shallow rocks, the smallies just try to kill it.

I don't use it enough to have anymore info than that. I use it when other things just aren't working.

    RE: drop shotting

Generally my finesse worms are dark colored. I like black/blue and purple. I also will take my zoom pumpkin/chartruese worms and trim them down to be a little shorter than 6 inches. But remember, I fish at Barkley most of the time, and the water is more stained than the eastern lakes in our states.

    Good luck,

    Danny

    Something I forgot to mention....

Sometimes I will use a grub. I've used curly tailed grubs as well as spider grubs. I've used 3 and 4 inch kalin grubs, and some "generic" very small grubs.

    Hope this helps.
