Bassmaster Bluegrass Div.

Kind of curious if anybody is fishing these tournaments? Since all of the BASS,Federation, and FLW stuff, was wondering if this discouraged people from fishing the Weekend series or if their wasn't any real interest in the first place.
4 tournaments similiar to BFL format $250 each for a boater and $125 for a non-boater.
Cumberland,Barren,Carrollton(Ohio river) and Brandenburg(Ohio river)
Anybody know how many has signed up yet?

RE: Bassmaster Bluegrass Div.

I'm signed up as a co-angler for the Bluegrass Divsion. Hopefully it wasn't a mistake...

I do have a couple of questions for you...

Will my BASS Federation membership still work for the 'pass' at the pre-tournament meeting? This was stated in the rules when I signed up for the tournaments.

With the TBF changes what's this going to change for the KBF? Will this years championship still be the same weekend of the Hooiser Divsion BFL?

Thanks,
Barry

Barry,
I cannot honestly answer those questions. KBF is having their annual membership meeting this Sat at 10 am at the Boat Show and hopefully alot of our questions will be answered.

KY Div. of the Federation Nation

Just wondering if someone was going to start this. . .

I am going to join the TBF, FLW, and probably Bassfan for a Shot at the BFL All-American and the like. But I am a Life member of B.A.S.S. and if the KY Fed. Nation is created I would probably join it too. So, as I said, just wondering. . .

LAST EDITED ON Jan-24-06 AT 05:12PM (EST)[p]Your current Federation membership won't get you anything at a BASS event. BASS no longer recognizes the Federation, they've come out with their Federation Nation program. Federation Nation is their newest program for weekend anglers, and details are available on their web site.

The Kentucky Bass Federation (KBF) is part of The Bass Federation (TBF) which is no longer affiliated with BASS. TBF is sponsored by FLW, BassFan, and others.

Edit: As I think about it, your Fed credentials may work this year, but I'd check that out to be sure. They certainly won't be any good as a BASS pass after this year.

I meant the Wekeend series tournaments

I didn't mean the "Federation Nation" stuff. I actually just meant the BASS Weekend Series tournaments. Seems only Barry is interested, his buddy Eric and I am giving it some thoughts---but is anybody else?

Is there a Bluegrass Division? I thought the KBF was the only way to go.

I had better check with my club President to see what the real scoop is.

RE: Shared Weight

Yeah, but I did hear that the co-angler has to catch a fish for the shared weight deal to work. I still don't like it, but at least it's a step in the right direction.
