It is awful out there. I went on saturday and caught 1 striper all day. (By the way I was crappie fishing) The water was high from all the rain and nothing was biting. I used minnows and jigs but still came out empty handed. My dad was with me and alot of other people were out all coming out empty handed and with empty buckets. I fished a creek by the way and dint try anywhere else except for that creek. Can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong and how to catch crappie this time of year. thanks

The lakes rose a bunch this week with the big rain last week end. When there is a big rise like that fishing is really tough this time of the year. I have done better fishing smaller
lakes or even ponds this time of year when there has been a big rain like we had. Let the big lakes settle down before you try again.
