Plapps Annual Tackle Show

Plapp's Annual Fishing Tackle Show will take Place March 4ht & 5th 8am-9pm both days. Plapp's will again bring in the 50,000 gallon Bass Tub and over 60 tackle companies for the show of the year. In 2005 over 2,000 people checked out this show. Th bass tub will be used by the tackle companies present to show you what their products can do. I will post info soon on www.plapps.com. This show is free, with FREE valet parking, free food and AWESOME tackle deals. A few of the companies that will be present include: Gary Yamamoto Custom Baits, Lucky Craft, Daiwa, Shimano, Yum, Food Source Baits, Bomber, Bandit, GSI Lures, Dynamite Custom Crankbaits and MANY MORE. We are passing out fliers at the Louisiville, Dayton, Colubus and Indy boat shows and our store

I would really like to see a 50,000 gallon Bass Tub....LOL. You might want to downsize that to around 5000 gallons. Sounds like it would be a great show though.

Will there be "show prices" at the show? In other words, will any of the manufacturers, most inparticularly Shimano, be offering any discounted prices during this event?

Is this show just open to the big dealers or can little guys come and set up as well to sell handmade tackle?...Thanks in advance for the info.....Good Fishin'

The show is for manufacturers and vendors who sell products to Plapp's Pro Outdoors. Space is free of charge, and in 2005 we had 5 companies come up that we had not bought from before. What we do is give you an 8ft table with chairs. We inventory everything you have before and at the end of each day. We then cut you a check for what was sold. Plapp's cashiers handle all transactions. It was really smooth in 2005 and we picked up a couple of great regional tackle companies.

I'm not sure at this point what the discounts or by whom will happen. All I know is that in 2005 pretty much EVERYTHING was on sale to some extent. Different manufacturers had different promotions, but those won't be announced until later in Feb.
