    Boat Show

Went to the boat show last night and I was not very impressed. Not worth the $13 for parking and admission in my opinion. What are your thoughts on the show?

I guess it depends on what you were expecting to benefit from going to the show...as for me, it was my first time attending since "a long time ago"...I haven't been in the market for a boat for years and I'm still not. I was hoping to see more tackle on display, Smyrna Bait had a decent booth set up but I thought there may have been a few more tackle booths set up...I did happen to be near the trout pool just as a youngster was catching what was definitely one of the larger trouts in the pool...that was a hoot to watch! Other than that, I had my wife and dad with me and all in all I'd say it was a fair to midlin' show...but then again I haven't been in years, so take my .02 with a grain of salt...

I'm not in the market for a boat, RV, or vacation get away so it's not worth my $13 to go out there. I rarely go anymore because there seems to be fewer and fewer fishing oriented booths. Plus I resent having to pay money for me to spend money. It's one thing for a big ticket item like a boat or RV but I can find tackle any where.

Sorry now, sorry for the last 10 years. I started going to the ones in Cinn., and Indy. Put's this one to shame. They don't have the RV's there, but they have a whole nother show just for them. For vacations and fishing get aways the one in Cinn. is super. This one went to hell after WH King left. They don't even attrack the big name pros to speak any more, and the Jim Strader's show is even a bigger rip off, unless you are a big hunting fan. The fishing is almost an after thought.

I guess I would of had reservations about going too if I had to pay to get in...I was lucky enough to have a vendor supply me with three passes...
