    A little help

    Good morning
I am asking the same thing on several different forums. I am looking to buy a new boat. A fish and Ski. A dealer called me yesterday and he has a 2006 Triton with a 150 horse Optimax, 74# motor guide trolling motor, 3 bank charger, Lowrance electronics and a custom cover for 25,900.00. This boat was bought by someone and brought back because he wanted something bigger. The motor has 2.88 hours on it. My question is, is this a good price on this boat. I was wondering how much depreciation a boat has since it is actually used even though it's only been on the water 1 time.
    Thanks for the help.

    RE: A little help

There are many others that can help more than I, but my first thought was whether or not the motor was broken in correctly. Opti's have a computer chip, and should you have motor problems, they will hook the boat up and check in the break in process. If it is not done correctly, the warranty is void.

My second thought, was what model and length is this boat, and where are you going to be using it?

However, a 2006 model for $25K sounds pretty good.

    Good luck,

    Danny

    RE: A little help

i read on here last week, dont remember who, but but the post was about depreciation, the post said that a boat was like a car when driven off the lot it depreciated 5000$.so i would think the price tag should be that much less,it is a used boat now. happy huntin the hunter
