Was at Cedar Creek Friday for about 4 hours and caught 5 fish, all on jigs. Flipping in the heavy cover. Water stained and 44. Had one 15 in. and the other 4 were 18-19 inch. All fat healthy and hard fighting fish. This cold snap will cool the water, probably ice in spots in a few days and the bite will be very slow.

Is the lake back up to it's normal water level?
lake level is normal. tim, how deep were those fish? in cover near deep water or shallow? also, was it more a morning or pm bite?
thanks in advance.
These fish were all 8-12 feet in HEAVY cover (which Cedar Creek has plenty of). Flipped a 1/2 ounce Green pumpkin/green pumpkin chunk jig. I fished from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. I caught one about 10 min before I had to leave so I would say more of a PM bite, although I didn't get there until 11 or so. Hope this helps.
