Hey guys, I have come up with a good knot to tie for a drop-shot, it may be a little difficult to understand with no illustrations, but try it and let me know what you think:
1} With the point of the hook facing toward the line, thread line through eye and bring hook up as far as you want your bait to be from the weight.
2} Hold the hook in position, take the line above the hook and make a small loop.
3} Wrap that loop around the line below the hook 3 times, keep finger in loop.
4} Bring the end of the line back through the hook the same way you did the first time, then through the loop.
5} Pull the end of the line tight first, then pull the line above the hook tight.

You now should have a knot that wraps both sides of the eye of the hook instead of one wrap in the front of it. This is a strong knot if you do it right, as strong as any clinch knot. Use on drop-shot hooks or jigs. What do you think?
