    RE: Ranger or Triton

hey I have been in both Tritons and Rangers....both ride good... and are nice boats... I have to say I would personaly rather have the Triton... I fish with a guy that has a TR-21 with a yamahammer 225 hpdi and that thing will FLY!!! and its smooth... I have drove his boat on KY lake and it GPS alittle over 75.... thats flying... the Ranger is just not going to run that kinda number. The Ranger MIGHT be alittle better ride BUT boat for boat there not much ride difference and the Triton will run circles around the Ranger.....both are very nice boats!

    RE: Ranger or Triton

Well, maybe I can add something here...since I just coughed up the money to buy a new Ranger 520. I also have a Triton TR-20. I can't speak for the 21 FT models, but in all honesty the post before mine pretty much hits it on the head. My Triton is much faster and has a pretty comparable ride to the Ranger. However, you can't match the lifetime benefits of owning a Ranger Boat. And if you are going to fish competitively, you need to pay close attention to the incentives on the trail you are going to fish. Just my two cents....Either way, both awesome boats! But I love my new Ranger!
