Anyone use swim baits much in our KY lakes? I recently purchased a pack of Storm 3" in Bunker color. They look really good and I'm pumped about throwing them this year. Any opinions out there? Where they work well? Under what conditions, etc...???

Joust, if they work in the deep, clear lakes of Cali -- and they do -- I don't see why they won't work in our deep, clear lakes, too.
I've never used them that much, but I've heard of guys catching good fish using swimbaits that mimic trout up to 6-8" on Laurel.
Pipe.
i used some of them for the first time this past fall with some success. basically the conditions were perfect fishing days. light breeze, overcast, pre-fron, but nevertheless i caught fish on them. i used them basically the same 3 ways as you would use a rattle trap (burn,yo-yo,slow roll)some times in the same spots as i just threw the rattle trap and pulled fish when RT didnt get bit. i'm not an expert on them obviously but thats what i did. good luck with it and post something if you have some success i would love to learn more about them too.
