Take 74 west, get off at the 1st Brookville exit, I think its either Rt 52 or 1 north. Anyways, follow that right up through downtown Brookville. go past the town, go straight through all the lights and keep going. You'll see all the different state park signs for ramps, camping, etc. Its almost exactly 45 minutes from the 275 Bridge at lawrencburg to the Bonwell ramp.

    RE: Bad News from Indiana

Short Answer is yes. I read that they may be selling these at the gates to the reseviors early in the year. This is new and I am sure that there are some bugs that will have ot be worked out.

Check out the www.fishin.com IN forum for more details on this and the link to the IN DNR web site that explains this new Lake Permit System. It's only required on certain lakes and reserviours. The Ohio River and some of the F&W areas are exempt from this Lake Permit

DNR Conservation Offices (CO) will be enforcing this new regulation. I have no idea what the cost will be if you get fined for not having the Permit on your boat. I do know that I got a 70 dollar ticket once for not having my boat registered.

And Hoosiers will still have to have their boat registered each year.

Here's an idea...Hoosiers stay in Indiana and we will stay in Kentucky. How's that suit you????

The fee seems to me to be a great idea. It will collect money from boats that sit in the marina every year all year without using the ramps. Just my thoughts.
