Fish Tagging

At one time there was a fish tagging program to keep track of the growth of fish. I think it would be interesting to track the growth rate and location of some of the fish. Does anyone know of any type of program/method out there now?

I have been using these tags on largemouth in a private lake for about 5 years. We have tagged and released over 70 fish from 12 inches to 8 pounds. Last month my buddy caught a 6 pounder that had been tagged. We took down the tag # and I matched it up with my records (I keep records using Excel. I record length, weight and bait used). He caught that fish almost 4 years ago. She was a 4 pounder in March 2002...

If you are fishing a small body of water and want to get into fish tagging it's a lot of fun.
