    Lucky Craft Baits

Are they worth the money? Which baits and colors are your favorites? I've heard Sammy and the Pointer 100 baits are good.

I use both the Sammy 85 & 100 in the American Shad color and there is something about this bait the way the tail drops down in the water after moving that triggers vicious strikes. Yes they are expensive and that is why I only have 2 but they get more use than the spook lures that I have.

    RE: Lucky Craft Baits

Worth is a bad way of putting it. Lucky Craft makes an awesome bait. I have used the Sammy and Pointers and I really like them. I bought some of their crankbaits and plan to use them this year. Personally, I believe they are very high priced, but then again, everything in my life is high priced anymore.
Check out Excalibur baits----they are copying LC and selling them for anywhere from $7-$15 also. So, is BPS---they are selling some of their LC knock-offs for high dollar.
But, like I said, like it or not, everything in life is getting expensive and bass fishing is starting to hit an all time high.
Ask yourself if a $55,000 Ranger or Triton or Skeeter is "worth it?"

    RE: Lucky Craft Baits

I have several pointer 100s and 78s and have had good success with them. I have also used Rogues and Husky jerks with success but the pointers have better action, better coloration, and work perfectly out of the box. I find myself with Rogues always trying to weight them, tweak them to get them right. Some guys like to do that type of thing but I like mine working right out of the box. They are expensive but they catch fish. I plan to try the Sammys this year.
