Has anybody bought a insert to recess your trolling motor pedal?
Got any pros or cons, specific brands better or worse?
I'm thinking of buying one. Just looking for some feedback.
Thanks

Here are two sources for aftermarket pans to recess the TM:
http://www.comfortroll.com/
and the second one is:
http://www.bassrods.com/products/flatfoot.htm
One of these days I'll get around to installing one or the other in my boat.
My wife bought me one, but in the end it was not installed. Unfortunate.y I am very heavy, and I was concerned about the structual damage to the deck. My father in law convinced us that we would be risking the chance of splinter cracks from each of the four corners as I walked around the deck.
All the research I did, and folks I talked with via postings on bassboatcentral.com said that even the largest guys had no issues with their boat decks cracking. I was just too chicken to try it on mine.
Good luck....

Check out comfortroll.com,powder-coated aluminum, comes with a drain hose,is easy to install and delivered price is only $150.
Great product, got one in both my boats and so does my partner,no more knee or lower back pain. These should come as standard equipment on new bass boats!!
I purchased my boat new in 03 and had one installed after I had been out a few times and I love it. I am also a senior fisherman and it helps to maintain balance when standing and is much easier on the back muscles.
I have one in a Tracker deep v, and all I can
say is good things about mine. I'm getting up
there in age and my balance is not as good as it
once was, with my foot pedal being flush to the
floor it's a lot more comfortable to use. Not to
mention that I'm not tripping all over the darn thing.
