Are there any youth open tourneys coming up soon?

Im wanting to know the same thing.I think there is a j.r. tournament comin up in April aint sure though.

Thanks for that piece of advice Trex im 14 this year i fished last year, lost 2 about 4 pounds a piece didnt wiegh none in.I want to fish it again this year how do you go about registering.

We will have pre-registration at Wilgreen dock Fri. May 5th, 6pm.-8pm.
I will also have applications available at the dock early in March or e-Mail me and I can send you one.
Must be filled out and signed by a parent to be able to fish.

Anyone wanting to make donations or come and bring a boat and escort a junior please let me know. Anyone who has helped will tell you what a thrill this tournament is. Last year we gave out over $5000 in cash and prizes thanks to our great sponsors.

My Name is Carlet Hagan, and I'm with the Kentucky B.A.S.S. Federation Nation. I'm Youth Director, and just happened to catch your post about some Junior/Youth Tournaments. We provide a way for the Youth to get to the Bassmasters Classic. I'll post our tournament schedule and you can sign up at any time during this year, even at the ramps. There is only a $10 membership fee to join B.A.S.S. so you can receive The Junior Bassmaster Magazine and so forth. Hope you get to do alot of fishing this year, and good luck!!!

carlet i was interested in the age limit for the bassmasters youth division. i am 17 this year and i fished many of the bassmasters tournaments on the nonboater side in the tennessee division. i was just interested in fishing the youth too please let me know about the age cuttoff!

I tried to get my dad to let me enter the j.r. tourneys last year and he said that our motor and boat wasn't big enough we have a pro team 175 basstracker with a 25 on the back.What do yall think?

I'd think if you went to the BASSmaster website (bassmaster.com) and found the rules for the youth division, you will find your answer.

I don't know how the youth works... man it has been a very long time since anyone could call me a youth...LOL But I do know that if you are fishing the BFLs, there is a minimum boat and motor size if you are fishing as a boater. After all, there are at least two considerations, 1) fairness to the non-boater, and more importantly 2) safety issues.

The age limit on fishing the Kentucky B.A.S.S. Federation Nation Youth Qualifiers must be between 11-14 & 15-18, but not yet 19, as of March 31, of the competition year for the Junior World Championship.

*****Youth who has competed as an adult member in qualifiing events are ineligilbe for the youth competition trail**********

Parents do not have to belong to the Federation, for youth to compete in their qualifiers.

What this means is as long as your name has not been submitted on a B.A.S.S. roster, you are still eligible to fish. It's just once you have crossed that side of the fence, you can't fish the youth trails too.

Alot of youth fish with their parents and that is still ok, as long as their name has not been on a B.A.S.S. roster before.

I am 16 and very interested in getting in some of these tournaments. I never have fished in one before but i really want to. I need some info on registering for the tournaments coming up. I dont know where Wilgreen ramp is so any info is reatly appreciated.
