Favorite big bass lure?

O.K. now that everybody has weighed in on their biggest bass caught, here's another question for you. If you have to pick one lure and only one, what have you caught more toads on then any other bait? Mine has to be a buzzbait, and running a close second is the jig. Let's here it?

Mine would definately be the jig because ive caught more numbers of big fish on it,but ive caught alot of 4 and 5 pounders on buzzbaits and rattletraps

A 14" wild silver shiner. I know it's cheating, but there is no bass bait on the planet better than a wild shiner.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-10-06 AT 03:46PM (EST)[p]Carolina Rigged Zoom Pumpkin/Chartruese. This is the bait I have caught the most keeper size fish on.

PS, wanted to share my limited experience with a jig. Several years ago I was fishing with another member of the Owensboro bass club. He was encouraging me to switch to a jig, a "BIG" fish lure. So I changed. Now remember, up to this point you could count the number of times I had cast a jig on my two hands. After working hard at presenting the bait into buck brush, over about 3 hours, I caught three fish. Not bad I guess, one fish an hour avg. in buck brush. Now here's the kicker, not a single fish was over 10 inches. My buddy and I had a real laugh over that... using such a big fish bait (3/4 oz black/blue jig with trailer) and three fish ranging from about 6 inches to about 10 inches.

I still don't have much confidence in that bait. LOL
