I purchased a Quantum Tour Edition PT reel as soon as I found them on Bass Pro's website. Haven't got to use it yet, but it reels very smoothly, and it looks good too. Can't wait to try it out.

I've always used Shimano reels but am looking at the new top of the line bait casters from Quantum. I like the looks of them and the fact that the cast control is on the outside of the reel and infinately adjustable. Has anyone used any of these reels and how did you like them? The two I'm looking at are the Tour Edition pt and the Energy pt. All comments welcome. I'm not giving up on Shimano just would like to try other reels to see how I would like them. THANKS!
Are they good or is Kevin VanDam just picking up an easy endorsement???

I have four Energy PT reels and I love'em. Good quality and affordable reels. Never had the Tour Edition.

Check out the Team Daiwa Viento. It is smooth, adjusts externally, and has a new feature called a twitchin' bar. They are about thirty dollars cheaper than the tour edition pt. It fits my hand great and looks as good as it performs.
