I was told Silver Buddy would sale them in bulk unassembled for a good price. I never did this but heard it from a guy that fishes Dale regularly. You may check into this if you are buying several.

I've never understood why they cost so much more to buy them directly from silverbuddy.com.

You can get them at your local store -- if you can find them -- as others have stated from anywhere from $2.99 to $3.49 or so. Or you can buy them from silverbuddy.com for $4.10 each, then have to kick in extra for shipping and handling.

I emailed them about this a couple of years ago but, of course, I never got a reply.

LAST EDITED ON Feb-10-06 AT 03:00PM (EST)[p]That's easy, because the company wants you to buy them from a distibutor. If they undercut their distributors, they would go broke. It's like that with all bait companies.

Guess that's why I'm not in the bait business, lol.

I'm not asking SB to undercut its distributors. Just looks like if Wal-Mart can sell them for $3.49, then SB.com could, too.

I own a sign company and sometimes I sell products to other sign companies at wholesale prices. I don't turn around and undercut them by retailing the same product at less than they retail it for. But I also don't retail it for 17% more than they do either, which is the difference between $3.49 and $4.10.

Having said all that, I'd prefer to buy my Silver Buddies at the local bait store or Wal-Mart. They can't keep 'em in stock because the first few people buy 10 each, however.

I recently started pouring my own for a small baitshop. I will sell them for $2.50 each, & I do have the 1/2 oz. I have nickle & brass. The brass have a nice contrast with the brass blade & the lead head. [email protected]
