Need a second opinion on boat value.

I would appreciate anyone out there that could help me figure out what this boats value is. Listed on ebay:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...e=STRK:MEWA:IT

The motor on the boat pictured is NOT included. I have a brand new Briggs $ Stratton 5HP. It would be a 2 hour drive north of me for pickup. I have been to the Nada Guide site and find it hard to plug in the right equipment options there. Any help would be appreciated. Maybe there is a known history of problems with this type of boat, ETC.
    Thanks in advance

    Thank you very much:
    buzzking,plowboy,mkspw and TimE.
You have confirmed my suspicion. I bid it up to $1000 and was starting to second guess how high I should go. I have a 16'er Jon, but no trailer. $1200 could go a long ways to getting that boat set up the way I want it. This cold weather has been bringing out the lazy in me so was trying to go the easier route by buying something ready to run.

    TimE,
I am interested in the boat/trailer combo evan if I can only use the trailer for my 16,or maybe your boat is better. I just emailed you a few minutes ago but found your message kind of late.

It is a nice boat but it is getting to the upper limit of its value. I would not bid much much higher.

    IMO

i wouldnt want to have much more than the current bid in the boat your looking at its a nice set up, that is a fact, but if you already have a motor you can easily find 14' JB and trailers in the 800-1000 range. If it suits what you are looking for then maybe go a little higher but I would set the max at 1200, you can find one like it in much cheaper and build it the way you like. But then again, this is just my opinion.

    RE: IMO

I think I would rather find an old jon boat. Should be some for sale on the side of the road this spring. And for less money. A nice wide jon boat and your little motor would be a nice combo on small lakes and streams.
