    Dale Hollow Sat...

Made a last minute decision on an invite from John Davis of SmallmouthSpecailty.com and drove to Dale Friday night.
I rode down with Brent Eeisle of Lexington.
We arrived at the cabin in Holly Creek about 11pm Cen/12 East. John and a freind lead us there. After a couple of hrs of BSing we went to sleep.
We stayed in a cabin he rents out. I think ole Elnut has sleep there before. It was really nice. It beats those cabins we stayed last month 100 to 1. I took a couple of pic inside the next morning...

It is 2bdroom. One if full bed and the other one you can see is a "full bed bottom bunk bed top combo". Nice bathroom with a stand up shower. Nice big kitchen. When he gets it finished on the outside, it looks like it will have a covered back deck/porch where in the daylight you can see Galtin Creek(someone help there0.
The parking area is gravel and look like it can park 2-3 boats/trailers pretty easily. There's a pine tree is going to take down that might make it hold more than that.

Here's Brent as we're getting ready to go fishing. It's 5:50am... Look at the rods in both pictures.

We met at Holly Creek which was less than 5 min from John's cabin. We lanched and went our seperate ways. Brent caught this 4.1 an hour after blastoff on a Creek Bank handtie.

Fished a while longer and then he got this 4+
I,uhhh...,,well...blanked... No big deal I still had a lot of fun.

John Davis and his buddies had 17 fish total with a 4.11 and 4 over 5lbs. He's going to send me some pictures to post.

We saw tons of boats out and the community spots were packed early and late as they should if folks have fished there as they have.

No fish for me, but I still had a lot of fun.

    RE: Dale Hollow Sat...

Yes, this the same place. I agree with Redneck, very nice place to stay. I booked him on a trip Dec 6th 2004 and learned an amazing amount about FNF, Silver Buddies and Dale Hollow. I have caught a BUNCH of smallies over 3 this year with a 6-4 and 6-6 to boot. I know for a fact that I would not know as much as I know if it was not for what John taught me and he will still help me with some information to this day. Either the cabin or guide trip, John Davis will treat you right.
