P-line is great so is excel caught a 24 inch small mouth on 6 lbs excel
I dont see anybody talking about Suffix lines. I have to say that i tried it out last year and was thoroughly impressed. Great strength and abrasion resistance, plus a low memory. Love the stuff. Just my 2 cents.
I decided to give excell a try from the reccomendations on this board and have found it to be a great bang for the buck. Low memory and pretty decent strength. I also like Big Game and have used it for years. I used to like Power Pro as a braided line untill they started making it different. Last spool I bought, the colored coating began flaking off and it wouldn't go through the eyes as smoothly. I'm thinking about trying Iron silk as I've read some good reports on it.
I have not tried power pro, but I have heard a lot of good things here about it. I have been using fireline since it came out and love it. I use it mainly on spinning reels, it casts well and has great strength to it. Great for probing brushpiles for crappie. I have never had any problems with it slipping on the spool. Loop it around your spool several times, tie a good knot, tighten your drag and put it on there as tight as you can.

Yes I Fish...Catch, ???.
For the money, Big Game is impossible to beat as long as your not fishing super clear water. Very tough and dependable. I can also respool much more often due to the cost.
i like p-line and stren both and use both.

I've used P-Line with great success over the years. I've recently gotten hooked on Ironsilk. That stuff has some amazing abrasion resistance and pretty much no memory at all! I love it! It is so smooth and easy to work with! Try it out and see what you think!
My fav has been Excel, but with all the talk about P-line I finally bought some from Ranger Bob down at Barren lake. Waiting for my Excel to wear out or break so I can try the P-line.
I fish alot of small diameter lines because of clear water, hands down P-line is the strongest line you can buy. They make the best florocarbon too. I've pulled up logs with 10lb P-line before, try it and you will be sold.
