    Home again..ready to fish

Got home late last night from Indianapolis. First time home since I left to do the Lexington boat show. Glad to be home and ready to hit the water early tomorrow. Thanks to all the folks that came by to see me at the Lexington and Indy shows. Good to put a face to so many names I see here. I will resume my weekly fishing reports later this week.

    RE: HEY DAVE!!!!

Hi Kyle...good to be back for sure. I did not get out as planned...just too much to do to get my boat and equipment ready and by the time I got it done it was too late to go out. I plan on going out today but the wind forecast is 25-35 from the southwest so if that is the case I won't be out. I have however received a lot of reports from the past week and some folks are catching fish...I will putting up a new weekly report on Thursday evening as usual. I am guiding starting tomorrow.

    RE: HEY DAVE!!!!

No kidding... LOL... besides, could you imagine if it had turned into a three way challenge? I don't think I'm really ready to challenge ol' KVD just yet... LMAO

Thanks though, I do appreciate the thought and the remembering.

Besides from a standpoint of who would draw better at such a challenge, if I were Charlie and ESPN, I'd take KVD instead of us.

Good luck if you get out today... if not, I hope the weather will be suitable for your guide trip tomorrow.

I don't think Charlie is ready for KVD yet...lol. The crowd obviously loved the challenge though....it was obvious they thought the same thing as me about Charlie not being ready for KVD...lol.

    RE: Home again..ready to fish

Dave, since you've been off the lakes for quite some time, I'll help you eliminate some water for your first trip out: Don't fish the main lake points, main lake drops, mouths of creeks, secondary points, flats near deep water, woody cover or anywhere else submerged under water in Barkley and Kentucky. From my 2 outings this past weekend I have come to the conclusion that the fish have left the lake. You might want to carolina rig the parking lot at Kenlake or, if you're really desperate, try that big tank that have at Bass Pro Shops in Nashville. Hope this report helps. LOL

Good to have you back, Dave.

Welcome back Dave. 19 days and counting until my buddy and I hit the water with you. Maybe St Patricks day luck of the irish will bring a 10 lb Bucketmouth and 8 lb Smallie to the boat. That was the only saving grace we had during the cold no fish catching day at Dale Hollow yesterday. We knew in a couple short weeks the Ky trips begin. I will be in touch soon. Elwood

    Welcome back Dave.....

Welcome back, and glad you made it safely home.

Not sure if you saw the post where slopfishin (kyle) and I fished together this past Friday. Water was cold, 44 degrees most of the day, did find a little 46 degrees, but never up to 47.

We got one bite only. I caught a 15 to 20 lb drum.

Still was a great day as I made a new friend. I sure wish I was going to be out fishing tomorrow too. I am a little wary of fishing alone when the water is this cold.

    Anyway, welcome back.

    Danny
