Creek fishing is some of the best fishing. Go on a good day with good water flow and catching 40+ is no problem. Investing in a set a waders and/or canoe is a whole lot cheaper than a bass boat too.

Check out this link for KY stream fishing info:

    http://www.kdfwr.state.ky.us/smallmo...0&NavPath=C101

You can also pick up some good creek tips at www.thecreekbank.com. The creek info on this site will pick up quite a bit as the weather/water warms.

Sorry no they don't. You can e-mail me ([email protected]) and I can get you some information and who to contact. They are a good bunch of guys to fish with. A friend of mine and I fished thier open last summer, my first tourney ever, and we won it!!! Had a ball, joined last fall and really like the guys.

This is not about the money as the fun and enjoyment of fishing with some people and learning a little different way of doing things. The T's cost $25 each so it may not be a large amount of money.

We have one meeting the first wednesday of the month and draw for that T. Our meeting was last night and the first T is Sunday at Nolin.

Thanks for the invite! Thanks to everyone for the invites!!! Email me whenever ya'll are goin' fishin' and have an extra seat! Don't know that I could make it every time, but I'll probably go more often than not! (Still gotta go get my gear and play around... I've been laggin'!)

As far as tournaments go, I don't think I'm at the level of skill to be competitive at all... but I hope to get there! I think tournament fishin' would be a lot of fun!

Not at the skill level of competitive tourney fishin?? Haven't you seen by the posts to me by Rodney... aka crazyfishinnut? That's the guys they want the most. That is why I keep getting invited back too!!!!!! LOL

Really though, if you can get in a draw club, especially one that has a low entry fee, say $25, and $20 bucks for gas, and for less than $50 you can have a day out fishing and learning.

The biggest thing is that when the guy running the boat says we are moving, just get your life jacket on quickly, and your gear stowed, back seat (if you are using it) closed and strapped, and yourself down in the seat.

I think you will see these guys are all very patient. Also, think about this, I spend at least $50 on gas for any lake I go fishing. And that is usually just my truck now. So, as you can see, you get a pretty good deal with the draw club, plus you could win some back. You won't be the first newbie fisherman to win. BTW, I never was... still waiting for my first win.

Good luck and let's go fishing. Can you fish during the week, or is it weekends only?

Yeah, now that I think about it, you're exactly right! No threat... HA HA HA! It would be a lot of fun and great experience learnin' not just a lot about fishin' but also boating, etiquette (sp?), etc. I'll look into draw clubs in my area and see what I can find.

Well, it depends on a few things... honestly weekends are best, but weekdays (Wed., Thu. and Fri. being the best) aren't too bad either as long as I know in advance being that I'm about 3 hours drive (per mapquest) from KY and Lake Barkley (if that's where you mean) - I'd have to take off work. Also, I have my two kiddos every other weekend. What part of the state are you in? For some reason I'm thinking you're over by the KY and Lake Barkley area.

I'm a little closer to the lake than you are... I am about 65 miles from Barkley. I am in Muhlenberg County.

I'll keep an eye out on the weather and see if we can't do some fishing too.

Might be a few weeks, though, hope that is OK.

For some reason I thought you were closer to the lakes than that. A few weeks is fine, heck I can't complain gettin' invited and all! :) Plus, I still need to go get my gear, hopefully this weekend!

Where do you normally fish? We don't have to go to KY or Lake Barkley... there's gotta be somethin' closer or even between us (I haven't looked yet).

    RE: kyhorsefly...

Nolin is about the same distance for me, and it is between us. I normally fish KY and Barkley because every time I go, I can fish somewhere different. Plus the water color is better, for me anyway, on Barkley. Plus, there are always courtesy docks in the water at Barkley and KY, so I don't have to beach the boat, even though I have a keel protecter.

Plus I don't really know nolin, and from what I understand, after memorial day, you just about have to fish at night.

As to when I normally fish, normally when I'm working, I fish only on weekends obviously. I prefer Saturdays, but do fish some on Sundays.

Until I get a new job, I can fish during the week.

I am interviewing and have a decent shot, however the field for the job I am interviewing for has been narrowed to two!!

So, if everyone on here will do me a favor, say prayers and send me all the good vibes you can for next Thursday, I will be very appreciative. And for those of you who don't really like me, and I know there are some of you out there, remember, if I do get the job, I won't be on here nearly as much to anger you!!!!! LOL

    Thanks everyone...

    Danny
