Barkley Conditions?

Heading down to Barkley tomorrow and Friday. Planning to launch out of the state park. Anyone know the conditions? Has anyone been catching anything?

Did not fish near the state park today but water color is good. I fished Barkley from noon until 3:30 today and had 4 keepers with one over 6lbs. Had two fish on Ky Lake this morning before the wind got up. Best 5 would have gone around 18-19 pounds...of course it was in the 70's here today with a warm wind blowing and I was fishing in front of a front which is coming thru this evening....going to be a little cooler tomorrow with a north wind blowing according to the forecast.

Dave, What is the surface temp on the lakes now ?

Kentucky was at 49 this morning and Barkley at 50. This is main lake water temps. The temps were starting to drop a little this afternoon with the cool north wind and with the forecast I would expect a little more cooling over the next day or so.

Thanks, Dave,,,,,,looks like the wind has scared off my fishing buddy so I'm not gonna head down, unless it takes a turn for the better on Sat/Sun. I appreciate your willingness to always help a person. I've got a friend from the Lake Guntersville area who will be fishing a tournament late sping,,,,May I think. The north wind was blowing big time today...we fished some on N. Barkley and had 4 fish but we were doing a tourney prep so we did not stay anywhere too long.
