There are some great secluded camping areas in the LBL. I would reccommend one of these if you don't need electricity or water. Just stop in any Gas station in or around the lakes, and most carry maps of the LBL. You may want to stop in at the Eddy Creek marina for some camping info. or maybe Hurrican Creek campground which is a very good one IMO. Stay away from Prizer Point, way to expensive/ new owners are crap!IMO!!!!!!!

Prizer's Point at Hurricane creek as mentioned has campgrounds. Also, Eddy Creek also has a campground, or used to, but the best place is Holiday Hills Campground. It is in the very back of Eddycreek, and I believe just south of the marina. When I was much younger, we, my family, camped there. They used to have outdoor movies... kind of cool, a general store, and campsites that had both electrical or non electrical. They also have a dock back there. Also a bath house with showers.

Hope you have a good time.

Check out www.kentuckylake.com and www.explorekentuckylake.com both sites have interactive mapping which will show you what campgrounds are available in the area of the lake you wish to visit.

Who own's Prizer Point now? Seems that that place gets a lot of new owners ever few years.

It's a nice place to camp or was in the past. Haven't camped there for a long time now.

Last time I camped there it was about $20 a night. That was more than ten year ago.

It's too far for me these days as the Northern Part of Barkley Lake is much closer to where I live.

    Hey Moose....

How do you get to the lakes??

Coming down the western KY parkway the way I do, Prizer's is only 15 minutes further than Mineral Mounds.

Let me know, maybe I there is a shortcut I can share.

Email me if you prefer, [email protected]
