    Emergency Cellphone Numbers

I am changing Cellphone service and have to enter phone numbers in my new Cellphone. I have had several emergency numbers in my old Cellphone, which thankfully, I have never had to use. However, before I enter them in my new phone, I was just wondering what emergency numbers other people keep in their Cellphone, specifically for ON THE WATER EMERGENCIES? Where did you get the numbers? And, did you test them to make sure they work? In other words, what do you do for communications in case of an on the water emergency?

    Thanks in advance for sharing,
    Grumpy

    Hey Grumpy...

I did not know this, but depending on how old your cellphone is, they can sometimes transfer the numbers to a smartchip to just put them into your new phone.

My phone was too old for that... but maybe yours won't be.

    Good luck,

    Danny

    RE: Hey Grumpy...

Thanks for the thought, Danny, but my phone was also too old to have a SIM card. Anyhow, I really would like to know what other people use for possible emergencies on the water (what numbers they have in their Cellphone).

If you fish the river around the dams you really should have the Lockmasters number. Also the local CO.

    RE: Emergency Cellphone Numbers

emergency personel now looks on your cell for an "ice" number
this is becoming very popular instead of trying to figure out who is you emegency contact. just label it "ICE "and the number

If you are fishing the Ohio and get stuck on some rocks, the news media can get to you pretty quick. LOL

I usually keep a couple of the closest marina phone numbers on my cell phone. They have a good chance of getting to you the quickest in case of an emergency.

    RE: I.C.E.

If anyone has any type of vehicle trouble or gets stranded on some of these creeks.....in the Clark, Madison Fayette, Scott, Jessamine, and Burbon(yeah, with these ODC's a freaky pontoon puncture might be a long walk)..give me a call. I'll help if I can...
