U of L Bass Club

Well the L-Raisin' Anglers had a good turn out last night. Couple of things that came up last night was funding of the club. This poses a question I would like to direct to the people on this site. You all know that us college kids are on tight budgets, but we want to fish and fishing can get pretty expensive. We are going to ask for support from local companies to help us out with club costs and maybe some donated items we may be able to give as prizes to tournament winners or hold a raffle. Now we are going over to Bass Pro on Friday as a group to see if we can come across some help there. This is not only a good oppurtunity for us as students, but a great one for the businesses and companies around here. There is a lot of media attention that could be gained from this, as well as university recognition. The club will be the first of it's kind here at U of L and companies who want to get involved, I beleive, will gain great recognition through the University and the community. So to the fellow fisherman who enjoy seeing the future of bass fishing grow brighter everyday, your support is much needed for this to club/team grow and succeed as not only fisherman, but as people as well. Any advice or people you think we might want to contact please let me know. Anything and everything will be appreciated. Thanks for your time and tight lines,

Eric Hickman Jr.

RE: U of L Bass Club - Tournament Shirts

LAST EDITED ON Mar-03-06 AT 02:22PM (EST)[p]We'd also like to know if anyone has suggestions on a good place to buy tournament shirts. We'd be more than happy to place sponsors logos on them if they would help with the cost of our shirts!

RE: FUND RAISING

I was listening to the Joe B and Denny show on 790am this morning. They mentioned a former UofL basketball player that has his own shirt printing business. They said he does a lot of the local schools shirts and softball league shirts. I can't recall his name. Might want to shoot Dave Jennings and email over at Clear Channel, I am sure he has the guys name and phone#.

Good luck getting everything up and running,
It will be fun to watch the Cats whoop the Cards in fishing too!! J/K

Maybe so, but you can't catch fish if you're always stuck in a tree! I used to have a cat, it was stupid!
