    Barkley

I have a meeting in Trigg County next Thursday. I thought it would be a shame to be that close to one of the best crappie lakes and not wet a line. My plan is to fish Thursday evening and all day Friday. The problem that I have is that it has been many years since I have been on Barkley and I don't have a clue where to fish. I don't expect to get honey holes from anyone, but if there is someone who can point me in the right direction, I would certainly appreciate it.

    Thanks

I'm not much of crappie fisherman, but I do know a few good spots. Put in at the main state boat ramp and fish the areas between the new housboat slips. They moved the old boat houses last year which has left all the old brush piles which were once under them exposed to fisherman. If you have decent electronics you should find these brush piles very easily.

Hit some of those bridge pillings that act as bottle necks to the backs of creeks, like Eddy Creek for example. I think there might be one in Little River but it's been so long since I've fished that area! The key right now is locating bottle necks of their migration routes. Bridges at creek entrances are just a no-brainer!

the bridge at Eddy Creek (right by the marina) is a good spot. Fished there last spring, caught quite a few along the chunk rock to the right of the opening on the marina side.
