I know there are a lot of groups that have stepped up to ensure the Green stays one of the most bio-diverse rivers in the world. I did some research on this a couple of years back for my scout troop and a couple of links to try would be The Nature Conservancy at http://nature.org/wherewework/northa...ates/kentucky/
or another interesting link is http://www.conservation.ky.gov/programs/crep/ . In particular if you look at the list of partners under Green River CREP you will see many potential contacts to express your concern. You could look them up on the internet for an email or phone contact. Good luck and post back with your results. Normally, I don't get too excited about such things but the Green is the crown jewel of rivers in the Eastern US and we can't afford to spoil it.
