Green on Sunday

If your headed to C'land and putting in a the dam I'd fish all the main lake points on the right side of the lake. Tubes, shakey head worms, jigs and shiners wouldn't hurt.
I wish I could help you out on green but I don't know where to start there. Good Luck!

drop shoting minnows on green at the wood structure around more evergreen type wood is excelent, might wanna try the main lake shelf though if you want walleye or other bigger fish, what is the lake level like there I am fishing there this weekend and will be trying to cast for musky?

Water level is at winter pool of 668 now, water is still quite cold. Went today, about got blown off the lake. Had less luck this week than last - 10 keepers with a couple of white bass and a couple of largemouth.

Meant to say we used minnows again today mostly with a couple of fish caught on chartr curly tail grub.

The water level was very low on Sunday.I might try today if the wind lays a little.
The water temp should be about 50 or higher by sunday if it gets as warm as they say

jig and pigs work better or curly tails I haven't had much luck on tubes but that isn't to say that they won't.

Yea the lake is real low. I called the corps yeasterday and they have basicaly got the dam shut off. they are going to raise the water level five feet. If we get the rain that is predicted that won't take long. For anyone trying to learn to catch crappies there you need to get to the lake now. If you have a gps take it. If not thats o.k. Take a camera. while the water is low like it is now you can take pictures of structure that crappies will be on in 2 weeks.I have used this trick on several lakes, and it works great for crappie as wellas bass and catfish. I am trying to learn to catch walleye on green and would appreciate any tips as good as this one anyone could give me. Oh yea Muskieman caught a nice 34 inch muskie yeasterday. It came a on a natural colered crank bait on the down side of a weed bed. If you are going after them this weekend I can tell you this go small and go slow. I hope these tips help whoever reads them. It seems like people are unwilling to really share helpful info on this page. Which kinda defeats the whole point of this page.

yea vagrant I have noticed that many don't like to share info, however, I am always up for helping out other good sportsmen. I have not done a whole lot of walleye at green not nearly as much as I do at cumberland, Lake St. Clair, and of course Erie. However, I have had good luck on walley at green on curly tail jigs off of wind beaten main lake points in deeper water (once the level comes up to normal pool)the best though is a shelf just before you get to emrald isle, comming from Green River Marina in the middle of the lake there is an enourmous shelf that has plenty of deep water structure on it I caught 6 musky there in one day trolling crappie/tenn. shad patterned cranks off of it.
My dad is as nuts over walleye as I am over musky however and he drifts erie dearies, 3/8 oz chartrueus or white curlys, smoke colored tubes there or occasionally will drop shot minnows onto the deep water structure located on the break of the shelf.

I have been useing this site for years and that is the first valuable fishing info I have gotten. Thanks a lot Muskieman. Here's one for you. If you can lay you'r hands on a glass shad rap get a couple. I caught my muskie on the smallest size with a super slow retrieve.Natural colour,looks kinda brown and silver. Also I don't know if you have fished Cave run or not But I grew up there. So if you need any info just holler. And for every else look look two guys just shared fishing info on this site and there was no apocolips.

Thanks for the info on the Walleye, I fished up at Robinson Creek last weekend for them but only caught a few crappie and a white, I caugth them on minnows and a grub. I do love fishing for walleye but it seems they are hard to find. Thanks for the info.
