    Green on Sunday

    fished from 10 to 3pm.
I thought it was going to be a crappie bite today, mistake.
Started off with a walleye. After that the bass would not leave the grub alone. The problem was I could not get a good bite all were about 12 to 14 inches.I never can get anything more than a few #'s.Is there any Ideas were I can get a good bite,I must of caught 15 bass today.
    Thanks for any help

Sounds like a great day...I never fish green b/c I just don't know where to fish. I'm about 20 mins for the ramp a the county park. What do you look for when you go after crappie??? I'd like to catch a mess...not asking for Honey Holes but some good general spots. Thanx

Tendexter I prefer live minnows when fishing for Crappie at Green River, although I do get some days where a chartreuse curly tail grub or Black/Chartreuse jig produce better than minnows. Later in the Spring as the water clears I go to a red/ white jig and still try minnows as well. Whatever they'll bite on in other words. Each day is different. Right now I'm picking up Crappies 10-15 feet deep over brush. Occasionally you'll catch a bunch in shallow water at the backs of sloughs that are warming up. Going tomorrow to check it out.

If your headed to C'land and putting in a the dam I'd fish all the main lake points on the right side of the lake. Tubes, shakey head worms, jigs and shiners wouldn't hurt.
I wish I could help you out on green but I don't know where to start there. Good Luck!

Water level is at winter pool of 668 now, water is still quite cold. Went today, about got blown off the lake. Had less luck this week than last - 10 keepers with a couple of white bass and a couple of largemouth.

    RE: water level

The water level was very low on Sunday.I might try today if the wind lays a little.
The water temp should be about 50 or higher by sunday if it gets as warm as they say
Do tubes work on this lake/
    Thanks

jig and pigs work better or curly tails I haven't had much luck on tubes but that isn't to say that they won't.
