    Green muskies

Fished green this morning. Caught one muskie,36 inches (raleased) and had another break me off. Second fish was in the 40 inch class, breakoff was totaly my fault.I should have cut off a couple of feet of line after the first fish. Both came in five to six feet of water, in weedbeds. Fished midsized crankbaits super slow. Actualy anchored at good looking spots and and just hammered the water. Would love to tell you where I was at but this is my first year fishing green and I don't know the lake well

    RE: Green muskies

They have been catching muskies for the past several weeks behind the state dock. They are hitting stick baits such as Reef Runners and Thundersticks, just got a new batch of Reef Runners in today, several colors to choose from.
Sorry but Green does not have any weeds in it, all of the fishermen wish it did. I have more muskie and bass tackle in for this year, if you are in the area stop in and check it out.

    Thanks,
    Shawn

    RE: Green muskies

excellent, I fished this weekend and raised one on a spinnerbait, but couldn't get her to take it. The pay lake was way over crowded and couldn't get in there. I did however see some of the anglers in there catch nice fish. Vagrant, I hate to ask however after a slow weekend at green the owner of the boat I fish out of has refused to ever musky fish again, he perfers crappie if you ever need a guy in the back seat just let me know. I hate to invite myself but the musky bug is bad.
    good luck and good fishing

We would catch several a year down there in the spring and fall while fishing for bass. Most of our fish came on crankbaits in shallow water. Good luck on your next trip down there.

thanks for all the replies guys. As for no weedbeds I couldn't say for sure I was just going by my electronics. I'll probably give green a rest until after turkey season. I do most of my hunting around cave run. So I will start scouting and casting up there for a while. I will keep everyone posted on what the muskie and crappie at cave run are doing.
