    transducer(skimmer) trolling motor mount

Anyone know where to get a new tranducer(skimmer). I hit a rock or stump and busted it off its just hanging loose. Do you have to replace the wiring or do they just splice a new one on.Never had this happen and have no idea what all needs to be replaced.
    Thanks

You don't want to splice it. It will cause interference in the unit. Once you get the replacement tape the new end to the end where the skimmer is and cut the old skimmer off then you can pull the cable through the boat to the fishfinder. That will make it easy to install.
