Muskies at the Cave????

Heading down to the Cave Thursday or Friday, just wondering if I should be fishing for bass or musky. Water temp???

This upcoming weekend is when Crash Mullins is holding his 3-day Crash Course (school)for Muskie fishing. I would think that it would be pretty descent for Muskee fishing. Keep your eye open for guide boats Friday and you may get some leads for where to fish.

Why not take a chance on both. I am not a Musky fisherman, but have frequented the lake this time of year. I usually go for bass and fish in areas I have caught bass in before. Over the years I have caught several Musky while bass fishin'. Believe it or not they have been caught on small bass lures. Mostly small cranks around standing timber, but this time last year I hooked one on a smoke tube in less than two foot of water on the gravel bank in front of Clay Lick ramp. It was in the 40 inch + range and a great fight until it shredded my line. So use a leader, go bass fishin and hang on.
